Tips & Techniques

Caring for your stamps
  • Before using your stamps, condition them so inks will transfer evenly.  To do so, rub the stamp across a stamp pad, and then stamp onto scrap paper, twisting while you stamp.  Repeat until the ink transfers evenly across the entire surface of the stamp.
  • Clean your stamps immediately after use, store them on the carrier sheets that come in the envelopes (rather than on blocks), and keep them out of direct sunlight.  Discoloration from inks is normal and does not affect stamp performance.
