Christmas card ideas

Close To My Heart has a great Stamp of the Month set available in October.  It features great designs for making Christmas cards and decorations.

I used this stamp set to make some cute 6" x 6" cards.

The first card uses the triangle tree stamps.  The second tree is cut down to a smaller triangle and placed behind the larger one.  The larger tree is lifted with foam squares.  The faux-stitching is created using small dashes with a brown marker.

The second card features a small piece of ribbon across the center to 'anchor' the stockings 'hung by the chimney with care'.

On the third card I used the sleigh runner stamp with second generation ink as a guide for paper piercing.  I used a pushpin and created holes in the design evenly spaced around the curves.  I used silver metalic embroidery thread and back stitched along the runner.  The second generation ink virtually disappears under the stitching.  The sleigh is stamped in black and raised with foam tape.
